Music Selections

Processionals, interlude, and recessional music are the most important music selections. Special music requests for the ceremony are available to make this special day a personal and beautiful occasion. There are listening samples and a wedding song list of highly requested music that are common choices for the ceremony.

Setup

The setup time is usually about 15 minutes. The setup includes equipment for amplification, a music stand, and chair. The amplification setup is a simple, seamless, and elegant setup that includes an AER Compact 60 amplifier set on a 4 foot microphone stand to ensure an ideal sound circulation to the audience. The microphone set up includes a state-of-the-art 2Mic Pro internal microphones (inside the guitar) and the TourMic wireless system. The result is a transparent quality that captures the beautiful acoustics of the classical guitar to provide both elegance and discretion for an ideal musical setting for performances. A Mogami XLR cable is used to connect the Samson wireless system to the AER amplifier. Two extension cords are on-hand and utilized as needed.

Cues

A cue by the wedding coordinator or designated person before the processionals begin will assure a timely and perfect musical execution.

Ceremony Music

 
Prelude

The Prelude is the music prior to the ceremony processionals and is generally 20-30 minutes of light romantic and classical music selections as wedding guests are arriving and being seated. The choice of pieces during the prelude is often left to the discretion of the musician.

 

 

Seating of Mothers & Grandmothers

The processional of the seating of the mothers and grandmothers is the official beginning of the wedding ceremony. The music selections usually include traditional wedding music, romantic, or classical music selections.

 


Wedding Party Processional

The processional of the wedding party includes the bridesmaids, groomsmen, ring bearer, flowergirl, and other members of the wedding party walking down the aisle. The popular music choices include contemporary or traditional wedding music selections and often include music with personal significance to the bride and groom.

 

 

Bridal Processional

The bride’s processional is the central focus of the wedding ceremony and generally includes very stately elegant music at a casual walking tempo. The bridal processional is the most personal and important music in the ceremony and often includes music with personal significance to the bride (or bride and groom).

 

 

Interlude (Optional)

The interlude is the area during the ceremony that involves the unity candle, sand pouring, communion or eucharist, or another meaningful moment. These are moments of quiet reflection and the music chosen should complement the general mood.

 

 

Recessional

Departure or recessional of the bride and groom, wedding party, and family from the ceremony site is generally includes celebratory music. The wedding guests generally depart very soon after the wedding party to a cocktail hour or reception area. This is the final music for the ceremony.

 


Postlude Music

The postlude to your wedding sets a pleasant ambiance as the guests are leaving. It will usually last between 5 to 15 minutes. The postlude music choice is usually refined and elegant with an upbeat nature similar to a Venezuelan Waltz.
