I have a new and beautiful 2015 Joseph (Joe) Slack concert classical guitar for sale! The guitar has an aged cedar top with beautiful old-growth Indian rosewood back and sides (see pictures). The guitar is in new condition, has a beautiful rosette, and an amazing color to the purfling to match the wood. The guitar has an absolutely beautiful tone which is deep, rich, and full-sounding with a very quick response. It has been setup with a very comfortable low action and is extremely comfortable for the left hand and is very easy to play.
Joe Slack began his career as a luthier by apprenticing with the late Tom Blackshear. The guitar is built with a 7-fan bracing model in the style of the flamenco builder Manuel Reyes. The late Robert Guthrie has owned three concert guitars of Joe Slack during his lifetime and has written a wonderful review of Joe Slack’s guitars.

Robert Guthrie Review:
“Guitarists who love the beauty of the traditional Spanish guitar sound will find in Joseph Slack’s instruments the ideal combination of qualities: refinement of tone, powerful rapid response, and playability. Over the last two months, I played a number of guitars by some of the finest and most respected Spanish builders of the last 50 years, all excellent concert instruments by any standards. At the end of this period I chose to purchase one of Mr. Slack’s guitars because I preferred the sound.
Players will immediately notice the innate musicality of his guitars. The blending of harmonies and the ability to control timbre is outstanding.
Although I would call the overall tone of his instruments sweet, there is plenty of power available, and to my mind one of the most beautiful
rasgueado sounds I have heard.
